So where do you start when you want to make major changes?

It can be overwhelming at first.  However, you begin by making a plan and taking one step forward.  In one of my past posts, I talked about how if you follow a plan it will help you reach your goals.    What I wanted to do now is give you some quick tips so you can reach what you are trying to achieve.  Of course these are not the only actions you need to take, but maybe one of these will get you moving in the right direction.

So you have started to eliminate some bad habits and/or implemented new good habits into your life, now what?  Well if you are trying to lose weight, hopefully you are seeing scale and/or mirror results and you feel good about yourself.  Now is about the time you have to ask yourself, do you have the strength to keep going?  Or is this about the time you stop and go back to your comfort zone?  If so, why does this always happen.

On January 27th, 2013, I completed my 2nd marathon at the ING Miami Marathon.  I trained for 16 weeks and I went in there with a very aggressive goal of completing 26.2 miles in less than 4 hours.  In this post and in part 2 that I will publish in the near future, I am going to share the mistakes and the lessons I learned while I prepared for the race and my race day experience to help prepare you for a future race and hopefully you might be able to avoid some of these same hiccups.
